KARL JOHAN is a new fresh star on the Swedish techno scene. His carer in Music began in the early nineties as a drummer in different bands in his hometown Arvika, in the middle of Sweden. He played everything from punk and rock to funk and jazz music. After many years of drumming Karl Johan got tired of waiting for other members of the different projects and discovered that he wanted something new in his life. It’s a hard job to get a band together and make it happen. Karl Johan discovered that he always had bigger goals for his music carer than his friends. When his mother bought a computer to there home a new world opened up. Meantime a good friend was trying to produce music in Fast tracker, Karl Johan discovered for the first time that you can produce music on a computer and have total control over the entire creative process. For the first time he became connected to electronic music. After visiting the Arvikafestival in the late nineties and listened to artists and DJs on the techno stage and felt the vibration of a dancing crowd and the magic connection of good DJ. The rhythms and the bass was from another planet and was representing a totally new feeling that Karl Johan never had experienced before but it felt very natural and nice. Karl Johan had found a new world to discover. He slowly began to use the computer at home and tried to produce some music. As a gifted musician there was no problem to get something done. In the beginning the music was very focused in psychedelic trance music, the music that Karl Johan had heard on the festival and parties. After getting more friends and attended more festivals and parties he discovered that the techno scene had many different styles to explore. After some years of making trance music he began to dig deeper in the world of techno and felt that the rhythm and the walking bass is the key to the perfect dance track. After going to school and reading sound engineering things got more real. Karl Johan began to have a sound of his own. After the education he became friends with other producers in his hometown and with his knowledge from school he started building his own studio. This was a major step for Karl Johan and now things began to happen for real. After visiting festivals in Europe and spreading his music to people in the business, they started getting interested in his sound. Now he works as a Rock teacher, learning young people to play rock n roll and combine it with time in the studio trying to do the perfect track. The world is ready for Karl Johan; his fresh smooth progressive house is like a new bread of perfect rhythm combined with smart and detailed melodies. Karl Johan believes in open minds and the walking bass
